Crouched up high, he stares
Water flows over his back
His eyes reflects the grey
Of the sea of rock and clouds
He's at his place
He knows he's at his place
Soon he'll be thrown again
into the dark and forceful sleep
But in the meantime, he enjoys
The sweet caress of raindrops
He's at his place
His good ol' cozy place
He used to live here
And spread his wings so strong
He used to shriek out loud
He used to move around
And after each explosion, he would lay
And rest, feeling the rain upon his face
But he flew too much
He knows he wandered much
He's on a leash now, and knows
That's where it's right to be
His feet are on the ground
And his wings are shut and tied
He has to go
Again, it's time to go
Although he'll miss the place
He knows he's coming back
As much as he wants to stay
He knows his time is past
And then he goes
Into the dark again
